What will be the future of Star Wars?
With Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, it seems that th0e41 Skywalker saga comes to an end, 42 years after the premiere of Star Wars: A New Hope, as announced by Disney, who acquired the producer of this saga (Lucasfilm). It’s possible that the saga continues for characters like Rey, Finn or Poe Dameron, but it would be without the Skywalkers. Although at the moment there is no news of any new film.
It’s even rumoured that DB Weiss and David Beniof, creators and screenwriters of Game of Thrones, plan a new trilogy set in the times of the Old Republic.
However, some surprises are being prepared based on the theme of this saga. The first one, and the most anticipated, is the series ‘The Mandalorian’, which Disney is using in order to promote its new online platform, Disney +.
Its creator, Jon Favreau, published the following synopsis of the series: “After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. “The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic”
